30 Days of Truth: Intro

I saw this several places, but no one seems to know who originated this meme.

I haven't been very good about writing on my blog, so hopefully this will give me some incentive to start the new year.

Here are the prompts if you want to do them yourself:

Day 01 → Something you hate about yourself.
Day 02 → Something you love about yourself.
Day 03 → Something you have to forgive yourself for.
Day 04 → Something you have to forgive someone for.
Day 05 → Something you hope to do in your life.
Day 06 → Something you hope you never have to do.
Day 07 → Someone who has made your life worth living for.
Day 08 → Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like shit.
Day 09 → Someone you didn’t want to let go, but just drifted.
Day 10 → Someone you need to let go, or wish you didn’t know.
Day 11 → Something people seem to compliment you the most on.
Day 12 → Something you never get compliments on.
Day 13 → A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough ass days. (write a letter.)
Day 14 → A hero that has let you down. (letter)
Day 15 → Something or someone you couldn’t live without, because you’ve tried living without it.
Day 16 → Someone or something you definitely could live without.
Day 17 → A book you’ve read that changed your views on something.
Day 18 → Your views on gay marriage.
Day 19 → What do you think of religion? Or what do you think of politics?
Day 20 → Your views on drugs and alcohol.

Day 22 → Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life.
Day 23 → Something you wish you had done in your life.
Day 24 → Make a playlist to someone, and explain why you chose all the songs. (Just post the titles and artists and letter)
Day 25 → The reason you believe you’re still alive today.
Day 26 → Have you ever thought about giving up on life? If so, when and why?
Day 27 → What’s the best thing going for you right now?
Day 28 → What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?
Day 29 → Something you hope to change about yourself. And why.
Day 30 → A letter to yourself, tell yourself EVERYTHING you love about yourself

Weight Loss Wednesday

I have been getting a lot of compliments lately, and I welcome them. My good friend N is always good for a confidence boost. I also sent an updated photo on our family Christmas card and I have been getting a few phone calls and emails from those who haven't seen me in awhile. It is a good feeling. I still find it strange that other people ignore the issue completely. But I have been feeling pretty good about myself lately and proud of my accomplishment.

I still have a good amount of weight left to loose, but I am at a point where I am feeling comfortable in my skin. I reached my BIG goal and that was a great feeling. I now weigh less than when I got married, less than when I met Jeff and less than when I have since my early 20s. I don't know my exact weight in my late teens/20s/or even 30s because I had no interest in remember a number I thought was too big. Funny how now those weights we thought were too much are now our goal weights. Life is funny that weigh... LOL

I am grateful to have a husband who has never made an issue of my weight and loved and accepted me always. I am also grateful to have a few good friends who have done the same.

Here's to more success in 2011! N... we need to get back on the exercise bandwagon!

Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY Tuesday December 28, 2010

Outside my window... some stray cat tormenting our poor kitty

I am thinking... about having to declare a sick day since Maggie woke up coughing and crying and Tyler is still in bed

I am thankful for... the relaxing, joyful and awesome Christmas weekend we had

From the learning rooms... Tyler is FINALLY almost finished with Part 1 of his Math book. It feels like we have been using it for 2 years when it has only been a few months. I promised him a small break when he finishes.

From the kitchen... Ham leftovers for everyone

I am wearing... sweat pants, an oversized black sweatshirt and my inside shoes

I am creating... a nutrition check list

I am going... nowhere which is the same place we have gone for the past three days.. and my friend N calls herself an introvert. LOL

I am reading... my Take Shape for Life book

I am hoping... that I remember to call my Mom to wish her Happy Birthday

I am hearing... Maggie watching cartoons

Around the house... messy, messy and a tree that needs to come down

One of my favorite things... my new ROKU that my honey bought me for Christmas

A few plans for the rest of the week... hopefully the zoo if the weather and illnesses cooperate, then park, and the beach

Here is picture I am sharing...

Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY Monday December 13, 2010

Outside my window... unseasonably cold weather in Florida

I am thinking... about how busy my week is

I am thankful for... the fun and friendship we enjoyed this weekend while on a group camping trip with other homeschoolers, most of whom we had never met before this trip.

From the learning rooms... it was an unschooling kind of weekend, but the kids got to experience nature, socialization and lots of P.E.

From the kitchen... Jeff is making hamburgers and I forgot to remind him about a side dish so we will probably have salad.

I am wearing... sweat pants, a long sleeved yoga shirt and a sweatshirt and I am freezing. I am desperately short on cold weather clothing.

I am creating... a list of things I need to do this week

I am going... to go switch out my laundry

I am reading... "Committed" by Elizabeth Gilbert

I am hoping... that Jeff gets home from the grocery soon

I am hearing... the kids watching a Tinkerbell

Around the house... we just bought our tree and the kids are anxious to decorate it.

One of my favorite things... soup on a cold chilly December evening

A few plans for the rest of the week... Dentist, Jeff's Holiday Party, Scouts, Park (hopefully it is not too cold), shopping for some Toys for Tots gifts, Dance, wrapping gifts, etc

Here is picture I am sharing...

The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY Monday December 6, 2010

Outside my window... darkness since I am posting this so late

I am thinking... that I am going to freeze when we go camping this weekend

I am thankful for... the financial ability to give to others this Christmas season

From the learning rooms... Tyler needs an attitude adjustment and I hope the one I gave him today works.

From the kitchen... We had a delicious dinner of turkey burgers (no bun for me), grilled asparagus and a salad.

I am wearing... my pajamas and a sweater

I am creating... nothing really

I am going... to bed very soon

I am reading... nothing at the moment. I was in a very long reading phase and suddenly it stopped. I think I have been watching too much TV.

I am hoping... that I come up with a good gift idea for my hubby

I am hearing... Jeff and the kids watching an episode of the TV show "Hercules"

Around the house... my Mom is flying home for the holidays tomorrow, so I guess I will have to go back to doing my own dishes and laundry

One of my favorite things... this cardigan I found in the top of my closet. It is a little too big, but a great color and I am so happy to have something to keep me warm this week.

A few plans for the rest of the week... the usual: Daisy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Park and then we are going on a group camping trip with some other homeschooling families. It should be fun, but I am sure we were all hoping FL wouldn't be so cold for our trip.

Here is picture I am sharing...
In honor of all the snow Ohio had gotten this year, here is a picture of our neighborhood a couple weeks before we moved to Florida.
