30 Days of Truth: Day 18

Day 18 → Your views on gay marriage.

I used to have the traditional Christian thoughts of "NO gay marriage. We MUST protect the sanctity of marriage." But the I heard a quote where someone questioned what we were actually protecting and I started to rethink my position. I actually believe that we should have civil unions and "Marriage" for everyone. You can choose which to enter, but Marriage would be a much more difficult to get out of than "irreconcilable difference."

I support gay marriage. As a divorcee myself, I disagree with making divorce more difficult. Why force people who are miserable together to stay together? What purpose could that possibly serve? When celebrities choose "irreconcilable differences", it means that they had the choice between that and "marriage fraud" and the court made them pick one. I have no idea what our petition for divorce said, my ex filed the paperwork and I wrote the divorce agreement.

What gets me is the people who get married several times and the woman wears white each time. LOL.
